Graduation Criteria

A student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 from the academic courses, mentoring courses and leadership projects to graduate. Students must meet the spiritual formation requirements every quarter while enrolled in VLI.  All incomplete assignments must also be resolved prior to graduation.  Students may be required to retake quarters in VLI to meet graduation criteria. In addition to satisfactory attendance at the weekly and weekend classes, the following criteria must be met prior to graduation:

• Mentoring Classes: Students must complete and pass (6) quarters of mentoring in VLI. Mentoring is not offered in summer quarters.
• Leadership Project: Students must complete and have a passing grade for (4) leadership projects in VLI..
• Service Requirement: Students must serve their local church for 7 quarters of service, two of which must be in a leadership capacity.
• Spiritual Formation Requirements: Students are asked to take self assessment exams, meet with a spiritual formation partner (of student's choice), blog with the VLI spiritual formation director, and complete a rule of life paper during their time in VLI.
