leadership projects

Leadership Projects are a means of service within the church body or out in the community. Each student is responsible to begin and complete a project on a quarterly basis. Each project will be summarized in a written report. Whether the project is a success or a failure will not determine the evaluation. The grade given for the project will be based solely on your written report. In ministry, not all projects succeed. Leadership Projects are assigned to equip you in learning the hands-on ministry in the kingdom and to learn from failures as well as successes.

criteria
  • Each student is to do a project with a team of 1 or more students or church members.
  • Students will take each project through its whole cycle: envisioning, planning (set goals, establish priorities, make plans), recruiting, instructing, deploying, overseeing the workers (if any besides the team), evaluating and completing a written report.
  • The report should reflect the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats ("SWOT Analysis") that characterized the project in light of its stated objective. These things will help in the planning of similar future events.
  • Each Leadership Project should be calculated to take each student 10 or more hours. One Leadership Project will be required during the Winter, Spring and Summer quarters.
