The VLI Worship Track is for those students who are interested in all aspects of worship. This track will follow the basic VLI curriculum, with the exception of two intensives that are specific to the worship track as well as mentoring that relates to worship.
The first intensive, which will replace the Team Building intensive held in May 2012, will be on the basics of leading a worship team and the essential character qualities to survive as a leader. Experts in leading worship, building worship communities, songwriting and production technologies from the Vineyard worship community will be teaching this intensive.
The second intensive, which will replace the Church Growth intensive held in the Spring 2013 quarter, will be taught by Matt Redman. Matt will be teaching on a wide variety of worship topics, such as songwriting, why we worship, and the heart of a worshipper.
Individuals in this track will follow the mentoring curriculum during their first year (Preaching/Teaching, Evangelism and Pastoral Care) and will then concentrate on worship for their 2nd year of mentoring.
We hope to build a strong theological foundation in the heart of the worshipper as well as train them practically in how to minister in the area of worship.
